Canastota Little League Minor Baseball wins District 9 Title

The Championship game was scheduled between Canastota and Lee to take place at Delutis field in Rome on Tuesday July 16, 2024. The game had to be rescheduled due to severe storms and tornados that ravaged our communities. Due to the severity of damage from the tornados, the game and location was changed to Camden on Wednesday July 17, 2024.

The weather cleared for the game to go on and Camden hosted this Championship game!

It was time to play ball! Canastota came out fast and hard! With exceptional pitching, catching, fielding, hitting and especially base running Canastota secured the 17-4 win in 5 innings to win the 2024 Minor New York District 9 title!

As if this feat wasn't enough, Canastota maintained a perfect record and was undefeated throughout the course of the tournament!

This young baseball team and coaching staff brought a little sunshine to our community during such a difficult time!

Congratulations to all of the players and coaches on an exceptionally played season!
